This site was originally designed to help friends and family of George and Stefanie know what was going on in their lives as they planned their wedding in 2001.  The name "Etzdale" is a playful compilation of their two names "Etzbach" and "Dale".

While the site continues to contain some personal material, it is being redesigned to offer some aspects of Stefanie's evolving ministry.  Ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2000, she has since been ordained into Unitarian Universalist ministry and is in Preliminary Fellowship with the UUA. At this time she is serving congregations in the Pacific Southwest District and volunteering as Chaplain with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Medical Reserve Corps for Bioterrorism Response. She thanks her mother, Inge, also known as "Mother Superior", for initiating and maintaining this site (and strongly encourages her not to edit out pictures of herself she doesn't like!).
